ELENA KEIL was born in Novosibirsk, where she studied at the Academy of Music as a pupil of Andrey Chulovskiy. She then went on to attend a course of organ music in Estonia with Professor Hugo Lepnurm (organ playing and composition). Subsequently, she regularly played concerts of secular and sacred music in the Armenian and Catholic churches in Yalta. In 1998 Vladimir Chromchenko built the greatest organ in the Ukraine, in Livadia (Yalta). Since the establishment of the Organ Hall in Livadia in that year, Elena Keil has acted as organ soloist there, playing concerts every day.
